CA. Kemisha Soni presently serves as an elected member on the Central Council of the ICAI for the third consecutive term in 2022-25 (since 2016). Having remarkable leadership skills, she has many firsts to her credit such as the distinction of being the first Woman Chairperson of Indore branch of CIRC in 2008-09, the first woman to be elected to the role of Central Council Member from the Central region of the Country and only the 4th lady member to be elected to the Council in 75 years. She was also the first woman Chairperson of the Central Region of ICAI in the year 2010-11. As a central council member, she was also the first woman to serve as the Chairperson of Board of Studies (2019-20). She presently serves as the Chairperson - Committee on Public and Government Financial Management and in past has served as Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Convenor of many committees and groups including the Board of Studies (2019-20), Professional Development Committee (2022-23), Continuing Professional Education Committee (2021-2022), Committee for Capacity Building of Members in Practice (2018-19), Ethical Standards Board (2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-19, 2020-21), Professional Development Committee (2017-2018), Women Members Empowerment Committee (2016-17 and 2020- 21), Group to explore various options like UDIN Unique Documents Identification Number, Group for the Arbitration related matters.
